We offer 2 – 5 day activity programmes that are designed individually to meet your needs. We work closely with the YHA throughout Wales to provide an extremely professional outdoor education experience.
All activities are led by National Governing Body qualified instructors. Off-site activities we offer are: Gorge walking, Sit on kayaking, Climbing and abseiling, Forest treks, Orienteering and Raft building. On site there is: Bush Craft, and Archery. Not far from the centre is the Taff Trail, ideal for self-led activities. All activities are the same cost so are interchangeable with other activities from our list. There are also numerous historical and places of interest close by for teachers to run self-led activities in the evenings.

Danywenalt is a small traditional outdoor education centre in the centre of the Brecon Beacons, not far from the town of Brecon itself. Brecon has an excellent homemade ice cream shop, ideal for a visit after a busy day of activities. This is an excellent place for a quiet activity residential away from it all. School Trips Wales offer from here some of the best Gorge walking and Mountaineering in Wales, also available is, Climbing & Abseiling, Sit On Kayaking, Orienteering, Bush Craft, and Orienteering.
Danywenalt is close to superb forest walking and mountaineering routes, the converted farmhouse is surrounded by wooded slopes, high peaks, and waterfalls.
This outdoor education centre offers both private rooms and dormitory rooms. Some rooms have en suite facilities and others share a bathroom. Pupils are welcome to relax in the communal lounge to discuss the day’s activities or play board and card games. The catering offers wholesome dishes prepared using locally sourced produce. There is also a self-catering kitchen with a fridge, where guests can store supplies. There is a gas hob, oven, microwave and a toaster for use by teaching staff.
This rural retreat is an ideal location for your school activity trip in Wales. The Taff Trail offers easy walks and there are more challenging routes available towards Pen-y-Fan. Apart from coasteering, for your School Trip in Wales we offer our full range of activities from this location.

Regarding accommodation and catering there is one free teacher place for every 10 pupils. Teachers do not pay for any activities, however they are of course welcome to join in if they wish. Activity programmes are designed individually to meet your pupils needs, the level of activity can be delivered to meet all skill levels and age group. National Curriculum activities that we can cover from this location cover: Geology, Geography, History, Environmental studies and of course Physical education. For schools on longer or repeat visits National Governing Body awards are possible. Pre-visit site inspections are welcome so please call us to arrange one that suits you.
