School Trips Wales are also available from Snowdon Ranger which is a great rural retreat in North Wales at the foot of the mountains in the Snowdonia National Park. From here we can offer a full range of activities.
School Trips Wales: Snowdon Ranger
This former inn is great accommodation to use as a base when you’re tackling Snowdon or any of our other activities residentials in the North Wales area. It’s in an area steeped in the culture of Wales. The famous village of legend Beddgelert, is just 5 miles away, other attractions such as the Sygun Copper Mine, Caernarvon Castle and the Maritime Museum are all nearby. In summer, swim in the lake from the centres own beach.
We work closely with the YHA in their hostels to provide you with the ultimate outdoor education experience. All activities are led by National Governing Body qualified instructors. Off-site activities we offer are: Gorge walking, Sit on kayaking, Climbing and abseiling, Forest treks, Orienteering and Raft building. On site there is: Bush Craft, and Archery. Not far from the centre there is a pleasant lake, ideal for self-led activities. All activities are the same cost so are interchangeable with other activities from our list. There are also numerous historical and places of interest close by for teachers to run self-led activities in the evenings.

Regarding accommodation and catering there is one free teacher place for every 10 pupils. Teachers do not pay for any activities, however they are of course welcome to join in if they wish. Activity programmes are designed individually to meet your pupils needs, the level of activity can be delivered to meet all skill levels and age group. National Curriculum activities that we can cover from this location cover: Geology, Geography, History, Environmental studies and of course Physical education. For schools on longer or repeat visits National Governing Body awards are possible. Pre-visit site inspections are welcome so please call us to arrange one that suits you.
